An Aga
Have you already made the decision that an Aga is the ONLY choice for you?
[There are plenty of Range Cookers on the market now. Starting at well below £1,000, using various different fuels - or dual fuel - made by a growing number of respected manufacturers... as reviewed in our 'Range Cookers' page.]
That said, there is nothing like an Aga (or Rayburn)... they seem to have their own particular kudos, giving your kitchen the best of atmospheres.
The vast choice of fuels available now make it a far easier, quicker, and less labour intensive option than it once was... when the only choice to fuel them was a special solid fuel. If you were brought up with an Aga/Rayburn... I'm sure NOTHING else will do!

Now all you need to do is to make any other choices which you have open to you...
Fuel type may be dictated by your personal preference and/or what fuels are available where you live. Colour - what is available, and what suits your property and kitchen. Size - check your available space, and then check the dimensions of your proposed Aga.

The website of Aga-Rayburn itself is an extremely detailed, helpful, and user friendly website. Just click on the name 'Aga' or 'Rayburn' to enter the separate sections on each brand.
If there is anything at all you need to know about the Rayburn/Aga brands... you will find it here... including recipes, product information, and special cookware and accessories.

Now we come to a difficult decision... where to buy your kitchen icon.
You may be lucky and have an independent small supplier in your locality. If not, let me surprise you with my suggestion of a supplier!
How about... using eBay?
Ebay isn't just for small items, you can buy easily buy cars and other large items on ebay!
There are plenty of brand new products at eBay.co.uk. I have bought electricals myself [at about half the price in the shop, and that included delivery]. Use due diligence and you will be fine!
The number and range of electrical shops who have a presence on eBay seems to be growing daily! And I have found quite a selection of Aga suppliers advertising their shops on eBay.
As for local suppliers, I did find one which serves the South East of England... I don't know anything about them personally, but their website does say they were established in 1857! You will find the website at JohnCooper.
