Hand Held Vacuums

Hand held vacuums are perfect for those times when there are small messes or spills to clean up where you really don’t want to have to drag out the heavy ol’ regular vacuum.

These small vacuum cleaners can also be perfect for doing cleaning jobs that are made much easier by not needing to pull out that big vacuum and attaching all the add-ons.

This could mean that you would be better served by having a hand vacuum than a regular sized vacuum that you don’t need all the attachments for. This would save you some money on the regular vacuum.

But before you go looking for vacuum cleaners, there are things you want to check into. As, alluded to above, what are your personal needs? Do those needs merit laying down the money for a hand vacuum? These needs will also help decide what hand held model you want.

Vacuum Weight

Consider the weight of the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner that you’re looking at must be easily manipulated by you within the purposes that you want it for. Would this be easy to move around your car’s interior? Would this be easy to use on the stair steps? Would this be easy to use inside the couches with the cushions taken off?

Cup Capacity

Then there are considerations of dirt cup capacity. How often do you plan on using this vacuum? If you’re sure you’ll be breaking it out at least twice a week on average, then you need to get one that has a dirt cup holder of larger capacity.

Battery Life

After these things, pay attention to battery time. A cordless anything, especially a vacuum, always sounds wondrous. But some of these hand held vacuum cleaners only have a battery charge of about 10 minutes. If you just need one for cleaning out the vehicles’ interiors that might do. But if you need anything beyond that, look for vacuums with superior battery charge times, or get one with a cord.

Attachments

Also pay attention to the attachments. Do you want a hand-held with more than average attachments? Do you really need that?

Price

Finally, there’s the eternal question of price. Never pay more than you need to, but never skimp on price at the expense of quality. By knowing your needs and being aware of exactly what you want in terms of performance, you’ll be able to make a sound judgment on price when you buy a hand held vacuum.
