Hostess Trolley

A full size hostess trolley is a luxury you may decide upon if you have the room to store it when not in use. It would probably be used when you have dinner guests... but not on a daily basis.

Another alternative to consider is a 'Side Server' which has the benefit of not taking up so much room, can be set on a sideboard, or similar flat surface... and will keep a few dishes hot, and would probably warm plates efficiently too.

Maybe one or the other may feature on wedding lists.

Of course, the advent of the microwave has, to some extent, done away with the need for both trolleys and side servers, for that matter. Though for special meals they can still be a boon.

You can still obtain a reasonable selection at three of my favourite suppliers...

The Co-op Electrical Shop have a range of suitable products, all made by Crosslee, which go from a Side Server at approximately £70 to a trolley in teak at around £190. I have read some extremely complimentary reviews of the Crosslee HL6232, which is one of the trolleys available at the Co-op Electrical Shop.

Tesco have an unbranded hostess side server which I found in the 'Ovens' section, plus one unbranded Hostess Trolley which I found by typing in 'hostess trolley' into the search facility. The prices are in the region of £80, and £180, respectively.

24-7 Electrical stock quite a selection... from approximately £79 to somewhere in the region of £550.
