New playstation portables - PSP's are on most present lists. If a new player itself isn't there, plenty of games will be!
PSP's are not new, but a must have on any child's want list. The new Nintendo Gameboy was the first of the two to be available.
Interest in comparing the two new wireless portables has been high. The fact that they are totally wireless, like a new laptop computer, means that anyone who owns one will be able to play against any other owner, both portables allow network gaming for up to 16 players.
Informed opinion states that they are so dissimilar they cannot really be compared like for like. Therefore, a summary of all that has been written and said seems to be the best thing to cover here, in order to point buyers in the best direction.
The Nintendo DS Gameboy has double screens, the lower screen being touch sensitive. It is said that it will take some getting used to because of the two screens and the fact that in some games you need to look at both screens, but that those who have never fancied these gadgets before may well be attracted to this different type. It features a novel stylus control.
Two other points are in its favour, firstly, that it will be the cheaper of the two, and secondly, more games will be available for it sooner... as the games already available for the Gameboy Advance are compatible with it.
The Sony PSP is available from Argos.
Though it is the more expensive buy, it is also the one preferred by ALL those lucky enough to have tried out the imported models. All thought that it was visually gorgeous, just like a full size TV screen.
Also in its favour is the fact that it is a totally all round machine... you can view photos on it, listen to music, and play back video from the memory card or special discs.
Argos is the cheapest place to buy them that I have found, and the special offers available now seem well worth taking up... grab them whilst you can! It is easy to navigate to the page you require. 'Video Games' is the first thing on the list! Just click on the 'more' and it will take you to the actual machines.
Ebay is the very best place to pick up a PSP these days. Check out what is being auctioned right now.
