Turntables
Whatever your search term, be it turntables, record player, stylus, vinyl record players, hi-fi turntables, or record players uk... I assume that you are looking for a player for your vinyl classics.
Maybe you are also collecting more vinyl records, the fashion seems to be turning round! On the other hand it could just be that you are looking to get a record player, to play your records in order to copy them to another medium.
No matter what the reason behind your search, what is certain now is that it is possible to find an appropriate player to suit your own particular needs, whatever they happen to be!
Whether you have a musicians ear, or not; whether you want to have your old music as a background for a social occasion; whether you enjoy quiet listening to all your old favourites... it doesn't matter in the slightest.
There is bound to be a suitable turntable for you... and you can improve the sound by upgrading your stylus.
One hint to help... no matter how well you have stored your collection, they are bound to have collected some dust in the grooves which will impair the sound to a degree. So before you play them use an anti static cleaner, such as a carbon fibre cloth or brush to clean them... this should improve the sound, and help increase the life of your stylus.
Is price an issue? If so, consider that you can pay anything from somewhere in the region of £40 upwards... and how! When we wanted to buy something to play our old records on... I found a complete vinyl record player for well under the £100 mark in one of those leaflets you find attached to the centre of your TV guides [and prices have since come down, which reflects the increased demand]... it was perfectly adequate for our amateur ears.

At Tesco a Search via Electricals & DIY may, or may not, turn up any record turntables, once you have typed in your search term... 'turntables'. Their quick turnover of items can provide you with bargains, or, on the other hand, mean that what you are looking for is out of stock.
At Littlewoods Home Shopping you must choose Electronics, then Home Audio... you have a choice of items over several separate pages, but many items are not relevant to our search... some are though, and are extremely reasonably priced.
At Be-direct.co.uk, trading online since 1997 and in the real world for over 50 years
choose Audio, then pick Hifi separates 'turntables'. You will find a collection of quality turntables. Remember the price you see here is the price you pay

To sum up... there is a superbly diversified collection of record turntables now available... just a short while ago such a choice was unthinkable. Not only are there many different specifications and prices... there is an increasing number of places ready to supply these goods now... though I must admit I was disappointed to find that some of my favourite places had yet to cotton on to the trend!
